I've actually been making quite a lot of stuff lately, but decided to share with you my latest project - rehabilitating a dog we got from the Philly SPCA. He's about a 1 year and a half, smart, eager to please, but loves to chase cats so we need to work on that since I have two. He's going to be taking up a lot of my free time until I have to teach again next semester so I thought I'd share some pics of him catching snowballs in his mouth. His name is Roger.

Type tray assemblage
Hi everyone! I haven't posted in ages. I was away on vacation in Costa Rica for two weeks, which was awesome. But I missed being in my studio and making stuff! I had to do a lot of boring, repetitive work this week on finishing up necklaces to sell at craft fairs, but finally I finished with that and started playing with something fun. I bought this wooden type tray from Ebay, intending to use it as a necklace display for shows. I'm not sure it's going to work for that, so I'm playing around with different assemblage arrangements with it instead.
Latest Creations
I've been knitting and sewing like crazy for the holiday season. Here are a few of my latest creations - the Luxurious Manly Scarf modeled by my husband just sold the other day, but I wanted to share it with you anyway. You can see more on my site - www.goodmarvin.etsy.com
Thanks for looking!

All Kinds of New Things
So here are some new and old things...the two purses are from a new line of bags called the Sexy Librarian Handbag (sister to the Sexy Librarian Clutch), the Purple and Yellow Fuzzy Wuzzy Scarf I just finished the other night, and the two scarf and hat sets I made last winter, but re-photographed and listed them on etsy today. The Sexy Librarian Handbags will be put in the shop Tuesday morning.
Hope you enjoy them!

First Fabric Flower
I've been distracted lately...don't want to make more bags right now but still feeling that NEED to create. So I checked out a few how-to's that I've been meaning to try and came up with this...my first fabric flower. I had so much fun that I started trying to figure out ways to incorporate these feminine little touches into my handbags. Hmmm....I may be on to something!

Hand Knit Scarves
I knit all of these scarves last winter on large needles and with multiple types of yarn. They are super cute, very warm, and wonderfully fuzzy. For more pics (I have other colors as well), please check out my etsy site - www.goodmarvin.etsy.com
One day soon I promise to share some work made more recently...I'm behind on photographing my work!

ceejaybags - First Post
Hi! Well, I'm taking the plunge and sharing one of my newest creations here with you all before I take it to the Craft Show I'm attending tomorrow. It's made of an upholstery weight black and white fabric with a shot of RED cotton as the lining. The single pleat in the center front adds just a little flare.
On a totally different note, I created my first tutorial on my blog today! So many questions in the Etsy forums this morning about the benefits of Facebook, as well as how to get started. Hope you'll head over to my ceejaybags blog here to check it out!

I'll be participating in 2 craft events this holiday season. 1 on Novermber 13 - the West Pharmaceuticals craft fair - open only to their employees. (My sister who works there hooked me up;-)
And also an event hosted by Teknion on December 3rd. This event is open to everyone in the Architecture and Design community only. More details to follow... =)

napkins: a neat gift.
Hey y'all this is my first post! I just moved to Philly about two months ago, so it took me some time to get my studio set up. Fortunately, I got settled just in time to make these napkins as a wedding gift for my dear friend. I decided to use one of the first motifs I ever printed, which is the silhouette of Irish Elk antlers. Their wedding colors were black and white, and it was a gorgeous event. I enjoyed being down in Houston for a couple days, but it was nice to come home to Philly. Please check out my other work http://hannahclairesomerville.com; I'm new in town and I love to collaborate :)

Zadkiel Large Feather Angel Wings
Oh, man. I am way behind on my postings this month, and it has nothing to do with not having new material. I have been insanely busy filling wonderful wing orders for Halloween.
This is a new pair of my large angel wings, which I have decided to call Zadkiel, after the angel of freedom, benevolence and mercy.
I made some design changes from my original large white angel wings, so now the frame is lighter and slimmer, and the pinion feathers are made from stiffened silk. So now it is light as a, well, feather. :)

The Light Within
Oh wow, it's been forever since I've posted here. I've been really busy working on stuff, just not so much actually finishing things! I did finish a bunch of new collages this past weekend though, and will have a whole big batch of new necklaces done soon!

A New Technique
Last week I was doing some photography research and found a technique called Through the Viewfinder. So I decided to try it myself. I love the results and I am now working on a series of images with what I have learned. The best thing about this technique is that it slows me down to really look and compose in the viewfinder.
