Black Feather Angel Wings - Metatron

No, not Megatron, Metatron. You know, the angel, voice of God, etc?
I am working on medium/large feathery versions of my baby angels, and here is the first!
These wings are handcrafted from turkey and goose feathers and are light as a, well, um, feather...

This is a custom tiara and necklace set that I created for a bride to wear for her masquerade wedding on Halloween. It was handcrafted from non-tarnish artistic wire and embellished with pearls and swarovski crystals.

Custom Luna Moth Wings

Just finished this delightful pair of wings for a wonderful lady in Canada to wear to Faeriecon this year. Luna moths actually have reddish-purple veins, but this one was customized to be navy blue to match her dress.

Instant Faerie Kit

I made this gorgeous little outfit as a charitable donation for a benefit one of my friends held last weekend.
The "Instant Faerie Kit" includes a pair of small fairy wings (this is Anorra #14), a matching tulle tutu, a feather wand, a glitter fairy dust necklace, and a tiny sparkle tiara.
It turned out so darn cute I may have to start making them to sell, or at the very least start making order forms for sets in custom colors and sizes.

New Skills = New Product

Soooooo, that whole once a week post kinda got lost as I was preparing for the Maryland Faerie Festival. I have tons of stuff to show, just no time to do it!
A few weeks ago I talked my mom into teaching me how to solder, as in stained glass. I've done jewelry soldering with an acetylene torch, but this was a new kind of animal. My idea was to created glass-based wands with semi precious stones. My apprentice effort resulted in the following:
The shaft is a black 12-13mm dia. moretti glass rod. The stones include two large quartz points - one on each end, a baroque labradorite cabochon with wonderful shiller (the blue flashes), and a collection of tumbled quartz and hematite. It was composed with silver back copper foil and lead free solder holds it all together. This is a solid construction and weight more than it looks like it should. As my very first soldering project, I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.
